New Martha Stewart Classes at Michaels coming in May, 2011

I will be teaching 4 new classes in May at the Michaels in Ellicott City, and the one in Columbia, Maryland. All 4 are Martha Stewart craft classes: Punch Around the Page, Punch Around the Circle, Using Corner Punches to make Borders and Edges, and Using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

The schedule at the Columbia store is one class every Monday night from 6:30-8:30 pm, classes rotating so all 4 are taught Mondays, but just one class a night.

The schedule at Ellicott City is the same except classes are taught on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Look for my displays in the stores. Classes are two hours each and cost just $10.00. You can register for one class or all 4. I am very excited to start teaching these classes and sharing my huge collection of Martha punches with you.

American Cancer Society's letter in receipt of the 130 cards I made for them

This is the letter I just received from Karen Seaberry, the manager at the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in receipt of my donation of 130 homemade cards in March. I am driving up to Baltimore on Friday, April 8, 2011 to donate another 170 or more cards, and also dropping off around 160 cards to the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore.

Martha Stewart one night classes at Michaels in Ellicott City, Maryland

The Michaels that I teach Scrapbook classes at is going to be offering one night classes on how to use Martha Stewart punch around the page punches in a huge new way, and Martha Stewart glittering techniques coming May 2011.

There are so many different things you can do with the punch around the page sets. I will be posting pictures of my creations with these punches in a few days.

Letters from Ronald McDonald House

The attached is the actual letter received from the Ronald McDonald House acknowledging receipt of the first batch of 90 cards I mailed them in March. In April, I will be delivering twice as many cards with envelopes to them and the Hope Lodge, for a total of 366 cards being donated in April.

Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore, MD

While I was talking to Karen Seaberry, the manager of the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Baltimore, she advised me that the Ronald McDonald House was right across the street from them, and they might benefit from
some of my children's cards. I called Debbie Hood at RMH and she said she gets requests for cards all the time but they don't have any.........I am sending a box with 90 cards in it today.

My card supply is totally deplinished now (except for Halloween and Christmas cards), so I need to start making more cards so I can keep these two houses stocked at all times.

If anyone would like to donate to help cover the costs of making cards for these two locations, please do so through the Donate button above. Thank you for looking at my blog.

American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Baltimore, MD

I was on Etsy yesterday looking at cards for sale, when I found a post about the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge and how the Etsy workshop in NYC was making cards for their local Hope Lodge.

After researching about the Hope Lodge online, I finally found one of my choices of where to donate my cards. They will be receiving 130 of my cards.
